Capodimonte — Italy's other great art museum
A Bourbon hunting palace on a hill, containing the Farnese paintings — Caravaggio, Titian, Masaccio.

The two Caravaggios
Caravaggio's Flagellation of Christ is alone worth the trip — early in his Naples period, the chiaroscuro at full power. In the next room, his Seven Works of Mercy hangs at the Pio Monte della Misericordia chapel five minutes from the Duomo (also worth seeing).
Other highlights: Titian's Danäe, Masaccio's Crucifixion, the porcelain salons of Maria Amalia of Saxony. Allow three hours.
