Ischia's thermal gardens — which to pick

Poseidon, Negombo, Castiglione, Cavascura. Different prices, different vibes, all genuinely hot water from the volcano.

Ischia's thermal gardens — which to pick

The big two

Poseidon (Forio) — 22 pools from 18°C to 40°C arranged across hillside terraces, a private beach, three restaurants. €35–45 entry, full day. The biggest, the most touristed, the best for a first visit.

Negombo (Lacco Ameno) — 14 pools, a small botanic garden, more intimate, more design-forward. Same price, half the crowd. The locals' pick.

The wild option

Cavascura (Sant'Angelo) is a free hot spring in a natural gorge — no terraces, no bar, no organisation. Bring a swimsuit and walk in. Skip if you need a sun lounger.

Where to stay

Our homes in Ischia

Capri's larger, greener neighbour — thermal gardens, volcanic beaches, and a year-round local life that rewards travelers who stay more than a weekend.

    Walking the Sentiero degli Dei

The 'Path of the Gods' is a 7.8km cliffside trail above Positano. Done correctly — early morning, downhill direction, sturdy shoes — it's the highlight of a Coast trip.

Capri by boat — the Faraglioni loop

Skip the big cattle-boat tours. Hire a 6-person gozzo from Marina Grande for €350 split four ways. It's the right way to see Capri.
