Punta Carena — Capri's wild side

The lighthouse at the southwest tip, the only beach club on the wild coast, the sunset side of the island.

Punta Carena — Capri's wild side

Getting there + what's there

Bus from Anacapri (15 minutes, last stop) or 45-minute walk along the panoramic road. The bus drops you at the lighthouse; the small beach club Lido del Faro has a saltwater pool and serves lunch.

Stay until 18:00 for sunset. No bus back after 20:30 — check timings.

Where to stay

Our homes in Capri

The legendary Tiberian island — Faraglioni sea stacks, the Blue Grotto, and a Piazzetta where the day's gossip has stayed the same since the 1950s.

Capri by boat — the Faraglioni loop

Skip the big cattle-boat tours. Hire a 6-person gozzo from Marina Grande for €350 split four ways. It's the right way to see Capri.

    Walking the Sentiero degli Dei

The 'Path of the Gods' is a 7.8km cliffside trail above Positano. Done correctly — early morning, downhill direction, sturdy shoes — it's the highlight of a Coast trip.
