Praiano — sleep here instead of Positano

Five minutes by car from Positano, half the price, the same west-facing sunset.

What to do here

Walk down the stairs to Marina di Praia — a cove between two cliffs with a single seafood restaurant (Trattoria da Armandino) and a swimmable shore. Above, the church of San Gennaro has the coast's only majolica-tiled dome.

At sunset, walk up to Africana Famous Club on the cliffside terrace for an aperitivo. The view of Positano two coves over, in golden light, is the photograph you came for.

Where to stay

Our homes in Positano

Pastel houses tumbling down a cliff to a pebble beach — arguably the most photographed village on the Mediterranean, and the postcard Amalfi Coast image.

There's no single right answer. The right transfer depends on your luggage, your group size, when you arrive, and where on the coast you're staying.
