Procida in shoulder season
The smallest island in the Gulf, when the tourist boats stop running and the locals show up at Corricella again.

Why the shoulder months win
July and August on Procida are loud — day-trippers from Naples, weddings at Terra Murata, and the Marina Grande full of arrivals. April and October are the opposite: the same pastel houses, the same espresso at Bar del Cavaliere, but you can hear your own footsteps on the via Roma.
The ferry from Naples takes 25 minutes (Caremar) or 35 (SNAV); both run year-round. Sleep at least one night — the day-trip crowd never sees the island after 18:00, and that's when the fishermen come back into Corricella with the day's catch.
