What is 177Toledo, and where is it?
177Toledo is the fine-dining room chef Giuseppe Iannotti opened on 6 June 2026 on the top floor of Gallerie d'Italia, Intesa Sanpaolo's museum inside the former Banco di Napoli headquarters at Via Toledo 177, a few minutes' walk from Piazza Plebiscito. Iannotti already holds two Michelin stars for Kresios, his restaurant in Telese Terme in the Sannio hills, and 177Toledo is the flagship of a project he's been building in the same building since 2022: Luminist, a café and bistrot, opened at street level first, followed by the Anthill cocktail and tapas bar one floor up. 177Toledo sits above both — you walk through Anthill to reach it — in a single long room seating just six tables.
The draw beyond the food is the view: a terrace over the rooftops of the historic centre, angled toward the Certosa di San Martino on its hill above the city, a perspective almost nobody gets from street level.
What's on the menu, and how much does it cost?
Two tasting menus, both built around Iannotti's take on Neapolitan cuisine rather than a straight repeat of Kresios: '71', four courses plus snacks and pre-desserts, at €120 a head, and '22', a longer seven-course version at €170. Wine pairings are extra. There's no à la carte — you pick a menu length, not individual dishes — which keeps the kitchen tight given the six-table room.
How to book a table
177Toledo serves dinner only, Tuesday to Saturday, 19:30 to 22:00, and is reservation-only — go through the Gallerie d'Italia website or call ahead, since walk-ins aren't realistic with six tables. Combine it with the museum itself: Gallerie d'Italia's collection is free to visit and covers the building's own bank-vault history alongside contemporary art, so a late-afternoon look at the exhibitions before a table upstairs makes for one Via Toledo stop rather than two separate errands.
