Bufala Fest 2026 in Naples: Piazza Municipio Dates, Prices, Tickets
Naples' buffalo-mozzarella festival turns ten this year, five days of free entry to the food village plus paid tasting menus from €16.

What is Bufala Fest, and when is the 2026 edition?
Bufala Fest sets up its Villaggio del Gusto (food village) in Piazza Municipio, right between the Maschio Angioino castle and the port, from Wednesday 2 to Sunday 6 September 2026. It's the tenth edition of a festival built entirely around Campania's buffalo-mozzarella supply chain — tasting stands, cooking shows, a producers' competition and live music, under this year's tagline 'Tutte le forme del gusto' ('every shape of flavour'), first reported by NapoliToday and il Mattino.
Entry to the village itself is free and open to everyone; you only pay if you sit down for one of the structured tasting menus, so it works equally well as a twenty-minute detour on an evening walk or as a proper dinner stop.
How much does it cost, and what's included?
A full tasting-menu ticket runs €20 for adults, €16 for children, and €18 for the gluten-free menu — bought online at bufalafest.com or at the cash desks inside the village. Buying online in advance for the opening days (2–3 September) currently unlocks a '10x10' promotion: 10% off plus a small gift tied to the anniversary edition.
Beyond the food, the festival runs a talks programme from 3 to 5 September on the buffalo-dairy supply chain, food-tech and sustainable tourism — worth checking the site if that's of interest, but not something you need to plan around for a casual visit.
Getting to Piazza Municipio
Piazza Municipio sits on Metro Line 1, with a station of the same name right on the square — the easiest way in if you're staying anywhere in central Naples. If you're driving in, the festival runs a Park & Go service: park at Brin and take a direct tram straight to Piazza Municipio, €5 for up to four people, running from 12:30 to 00:30 across the festival days. Either way, arrive after 19:00 if you want the village at its liveliest, or earlier in the afternoon if you'd rather skip the queue for a sit-down tasting menu.
