Cilentart Fest 2026: An Eight-Town Arts Festival Across Cilento This August
Theatre, sunrise concerts, and a Dardust headline show, spread from Agropoli to the inland hill towns.
What is Cilentart Fest, and which towns take part?
Cilentart Fest is a diffuso festival — spread across multiple towns rather than staged at one venue — now in its sixth edition, running from 1 to 12 August 2026 across eight Cilento municipalities: Pollica, Bellosguardo, Moio della Civitella, Perito, Agropoli, San Giovanni a Piro, Trentinara, and Gioi. The dates and town list were confirmed by ANSA Campania and reported locally by InfoCilento and the Gazzetta di Salerno.
The program covers theatre, live music, stand-up comedy, circus and dance, plus a creative residency lab led by director and playwright Gabriele Vacis.
Highlights: Dardust and the sunrise concerts
The festival's headline act is pianist and producer Dardust, and the program's most distinctive fixture is its run of sunrise concerts — live music staged at dawn rather than in the usual evening slot, taking advantage of the Cilento hill towns' views back down to the coast.
Because the festival moves between eight municipalities rather than sitting in one town, checking each date's specific location before setting out matters more than with a typical single-venue festival.
Planning a Cilento trip around it
Cilento's towns are spread far enough apart — coastal Agropoli sits roughly 40 minutes by car from inland Pollica and Gioi — that a car is close to essential for catching more than one or two dates. Basing in Agropoli or Pollica-Acciaroli keeps both coast and inland venues within reach without excessive driving each night.
August is peak season on this stretch of coast, so anyone building a trip around Cilentart Fest should book accommodation well ahead, and check each event's exact venue and time on the official festival channels closer to the date, since a diffuso festival's schedule can shift town to town.
