For four weeks every May, 100+ palaces, cloisters, and gardens normally shut to the public open for free.
What to actually see
Palazzo Carafa di Maddaloni's frescoes; the cloister of Santi Marcellino e Festo; the gardens of Villa Floridiana; the rooftop of the Cappella del Tesoro; the Quadreria dei Girolamini.
Check the official programme on May 1st — it changes each year. Most sites are free, a few are €5. Booking is usually online but small palazzi accept walk-ups.
