Procida Jazz Fest 2026: Dates, Lineup, and How to Get There
A new September date for the island of Arturo: sunrise piano solos, a main stage at Piazza Marina Grande, and headliners including Fabrizio Bosso and Javier Girotto.
What is Procida Jazz Fest, and when is it?
Procida is getting its first jazz festival: Procida Jazz Fest runs from Thursday 10 to Sunday 13 September 2026, spread across five spots on the island. The programme totals twelve concerts, including two sunrise piano solos, with more than fifty Italian and international musicians taking part — a first edition announced in mid-August 2026, first reported by NapoliMagazine and Napolike, with an official press conference set for Friday 28 August at Palazzo d'Avalos in Terra Murata.
The festival is organised by the associations New Around Midnight and Napoli Jazz Club, with backing from the Ministry of Culture, Regione Campania and the Città Metropolitana di Napoli, in partnership with the Comune di Procida. It arrives a few months after the island's long-running Raduno Jazz Manouche, giving Procida two distinct jazz dates on the calendar instead of one.
What's on the lineup, day by day?
The main stage sits in Piazza Marina Grande, opening on Thursday 10 September at 9pm with the Half Century Trio Orchestra. Friday 11 brings afternoon talks on jazz history, a sunset set, and the Max Ionata & Hammond Groovers quartet in the evening. Saturday 12 opens at sunrise with a solo piano set from Turkish pianist Hakan Başar, followed by more talks, a sunset performance from the Dany Noel Latin Jazz Trio, and a headline set from the Giuseppe Venezia Quintet featuring trumpeter Fabrizio Bosso. The closing day, Sunday 13, pairs another sunrise piano solo with a book presentation, a sunset set from the Freedom Jazz Quartet featuring Argentine saxophonist Javier Girotto, and a Frank Sinatra tribute from the Gianluca Guidi & Elio Coppola trio to close the festival.
Alongside the concerts, the photography exhibition 'Fotografando Jazz' by Francesco Truono opens on 28 August at Palazzo d'Avalos and stays up through 20 September, with free entry.
Tickets and how to reach Procida
Ticket prices for the four days of concerts hadn't been published at the time of the August announcement; for booking and up-to-date pricing, the organisers list procidajazzfest@gmail.com and two phone lines, 388 814 0469 and 334 322 4441, as the official contacts.
Procida is reachable by ferry and hydrofoil from Naples (Molo Beverello and Calata Porta di Massa) and from Pozzuoli, which is the shortest crossing — though the truck and vehicle restrictions introduced at Pozzuoli's port earlier this year have reshuffled some ferry schedules, so it's worth checking sailing times on the day rather than assuming the old timetable. Piazza Marina Grande, the festival's main stage, is a short walk from the main ferry dock, which makes a day trip from Naples or a stay on the island equally workable for the evening sets.
