Fiordilatte Fiordifesta 2026: Agerola's Cheese Festival Above the Amalfi Coast
Four nights of fresh cheese and folk music, a short SITA ride above Amalfi.
What is Fiordilatte Fiordifesta, and when is it in 2026?
Agerola, the plateau town in the Lattari mountains above Amalfi and Positano, holds the 46th edition of its Fiordilatte Fiordifesta from Saturday 1 to Tuesday 4 August 2026, centred on Piazzale San Pietro in the Pianillo district. The festival celebrates fiordilatte, the fresh, rindless cow's-milk cheese Agerola's dairies have supplied to restaurants and pizzerias across the Amalfi Coast and Naples for generations — the cheese that turns up on coastal menus specifically labelled "fiordilatte di Agerola."
Entry to the piazza and every evening's music is free; only food and drink at the gastronomic stands are paid. First reported by NapoliToday and Positanonews, with the programme also confirmed by Il Vescovado.
What's on each evening
Opening night, Saturday 1 August, starts at 19:30 with the ribbon-cutting and a parade by the Cavalieri del Sigillo Pontificio, followed by a live set from The Black N White at 22:00. Sunday 2 August folds in Agerola's patronal feast of Sant'Antonio Abate, with the town band performing ahead of a concert at 20:30.
Monday 3 August brings a free show from Neapolitan performer Rosario Miraggio at 21:30. The festival closes Tuesday 4 August with an afternoon talk pairing fiordilatte with Slow Food's regional presidia at 17:00, then a concert from La Paranza Madonna di Bagni at 20:00.
Getting there from the coast
Agerola sits inland and uphill from Amalfi, reachable by the direct SITA SUD bus on the Amalfi–Agerola–Naples line, or from Positano and Sorrento via a change of bus in Amalfi. Anyone already holding a COSTIERASITA day pass (€10, unlimited SITA SUD travel across Agerola, Amalfi, Positano and Sorrento) can ride up for the evening at no extra cost.
Agerola's Bomerano district, a few kilometres from Pianillo, is also the starting point of the Path of the Gods hike — worth pairing a morning walk with an evening at the festival if the schedule allows, though it's worth checking the last bus back down locally, since SITA's evening frequency thins out after 22:00.
