MHARE Capri: The Island's New Restaurant and Cocktail Bar Near the Piazzetta
A biomedical-research chef, extracted seawater on the menu, and a spot that used to be É Divino.
What is MHARE, and where is it in Capri?
MHARE opened on 4 July 2026 at Via Sella Orta 10/A, a short walk from Capri's Piazzetta, in the address that for years held É Divino. The project belongs to Ferruccio de Lorenzo, a Naples-born entrepreneur who's made Capri home, with Andrea Costabile running the kitchen. It was first reported by So Wine So Food and Il Mattino, with the opening confirmed across several Italian food trade outlets in mid-to-late July.
The name stands for Mindful Health And REgeneration — a concept that pairs nutrition research with Mediterranean cooking, rather than a theme applied loosely for marketing.
What's on the menu, and why extracted seawater?
The kitchen builds dishes around functional ingredients aimed at biological wellbeing, and its signature touch is extracted seawater, used as a seasoning element across several plates rather than a novelty garnish. It's a Mediterranean menu at its base — fish, vegetables, citrus — reworked with the kind of ingredient research more common in wellness-focused kitchens than in a typical Capri restaurant.
Alongside the dining room, MHARE runs as a cocktail bar into the early hours, making it as workable for a late aperitivo as for a full dinner.

Via Sella Orta sits just off the Piazzetta, Capri's central square and the natural end point of the walk up from the Marina Grande funicular — so it needs no separate trip, only a booking made ahead given the address's small size and its being brand new this season.
